St. Patrick's Day is a just-for-fun type of holiday.
I love that there really are not any expectations. There are no gifts to buy and no food that must be made.
But it can be a great occasion to let your loved ones who are far away know that you're thinking of them.
Fill up a package with Lucky Charms, something green to wear and lots of treats to let them know how lucky you are to have them in your life.
ST. PATRICK'S DAY CARE PACKAGE IDEA FOR MISSIONARIES
My son is serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.I have been having so much fun sending him packages. So far, I've sent him a Thanksgiving package, a Christmas package, a winter package and a Valentine's day package.
One reason I love St. Patrick's Day is because it's my birthday!
My mom always made it fun, teasing and pinching us first thing in the morning if we forgot to put on green. We learned to wear something green to bed the night before!
We've carried on the tradition. I've never gone all out with the leprechan traps, or dyeing the milk green. But we do make sure to wear green!

NON-FOOD CARE PACKAGE IDEAS
Since missionaries are moving every 6-12 weeks, I find it best not to send too many items they will have to pack around. - pickleball paddle
- CTR tie pin
- toothbrush
- chapstick
And I sent him a CTR tie pin. I thought it could be a subtle way to wear green, without distracting from his purpose.
I sent this a while back, but you could also include a cookbook.
I designed this FREE cookbook specifically for missionaries, keeping in mind their limited time to cook. I kept things EASY so even the most beginner cook can be successful in the kitchen.
Find the FREE cookbook here. There is a printable PDF if you want a physical copy. I also created a clickable PDF so that your missionary can keep it on his/her phone for quick ideas while shopping.
HOW TO TO DECORATE YOUR ST. PADDY'S DAY GIFT BOX
Decorating the care package is fun. I keep it simple.I grabbed some foam shamrock stickers and stuck them on the flaps.
It takes only a couple minutes and makes the box fun and festive.
