Make these savory homemade breadstick twists slathered with garlic herb butter. These breadsticks are chewy with slightly crisp edges.
GARLIC PARMESAN BREADSTICK TWISTS
I love homemade bread in all it's forms - loaves, rolls and breadsticks. These garlic parmesan twists are my new favorite go to breadstick recipe. They're reminiscent of Pizza Factory breadsticks but easier to make.
Serve these garlic twists on pasta night with creamy Tuscan shrimp linguine, pizza night or with your favorite soup. It's a great recipe to keep on hand if you love fresh bread like me.

HOW TO MAKE GARLIC BREADSTICK TWISTS
Let's get started making these garlicky breadsticks.Combine yeast and sugar with the warm water. Stir, then let it sit for about 5 minutes for the yeast to dissolve.
Add 3 cups bread flour, oil, salt and yeast mixture to the bowl of a stand mixer.
Mix with a dough hook until the dough forms a ball adding more flour as needed 1/4 cup at a time.
Let knead 5 minutes.
Remove bowl from stand and cover with a clean dish towel. Let the dough rise by placing it in a warm place for about 45 minutes to an hour, or until double in size.
Divide the bread dough into 12 pieces. Roll each piece into a long snake and then twist it around itself.
(Spray a bit of cooking spray on the counter to prevent the dough from sticking.)
Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes.
While baking, prepare the garlic butter topping.
Melt the butter, then add the parmesan cheese and seasonings.
When edges of the bread sticks begin to turn golden brown they are done. Brush them with the butter sauce. Then place back in the oven for another minute or two.
