- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 2 T. water
- 1 package candy cane Kisses
HELPFUL KITCHEN TOOLS
A good quality baking sheet is a must for making cookies. My favorite is the Nordic Ware Aluminum baking sheet. It's thick and durable and cooks evenly. They're not just for cookies either. I use them daily for everything. Almost everything I cook in the oven goes on one of these pans. This food chopper is similar to one that I have. It's so handy for chopping up things without making a big mess. With the irregular shape of the kisses, it makes the task much quicker and easier than using a knife.
HOW TO MAKE CANDY CANE KISS COOKIES
These cookies are one of the easiest you'll ever make.To begin with, unwrap 20 of the kisses and chop them into small chunks. Add the chunks to the cake mix. It's important to add them to the mix first and give them a quick stir. For some reason they incorporate into the batter better if they're mixed into the mix before adding any of the wet ingredients.
I LOVE this recipe using a French vanilla cake mix, but any white mix will work.
Add the egg, oil and water to the mix and stir just until combined.
Roll the dough into walnut sized balls. Bake at 350 for 7-10 minutes.
As soon as the cookies are done, place a candy cane kiss on top and enjoy.
For my second batch of cookies, I placed the kiss on top as before. Once the kiss had melted from the heat of the cookie, I used a knife to spread that yummy mint chocolate all over the cookie.
I have to say, I liked them even better this way! It gives them a whole different look. AND ensures you have even more peppermint flavor in every bite.

- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. oil
- 2 Tbsp water
- candy cane Kisses
Instructions
- Unwrap and chop 20 candy cane Kisses into small chunks.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the cake mix and the Kiss chunks. Give it a quick stir.
- Add the egg, oil and water and mix just until combined.
- Roll the dough into walnut sized balls.
- Bake at 350 for 7-10 minutes.
- As soon as the cookies are done, place a candy cane Kiss on top.
- Optional: Once the Kiss has melted from the heat of the cookie, use a knife to spread the chocolate evenly over the top of the cookie.
Notes:

- Mixing the Kiss chunks into the cake mix before adding any of the wet ingredients will help them to incorporate better. If you add them at the end, they won't mix in as well.
