INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR THE EASIEST PEACH FREEZER JAM
There are a few different products available to make freezer jam. I have often used the Ball freezer jam pectin. Most brands of regular pectin have a freezer jam version. However, I saw this Jam in a Jiffy and thought I'd give it a try. It's by far the easiest way to make jam I've come across! You need just 3 ingredients.
You can use this pectin mix for pretty much any type of fruit you desire. Try it with apricots, strawberries, raspberries, or any other type of berry.
- peaches
- Cornaby's Jam in a Jiffy
- water
HELPFUL KITCHEN TOOLS
You can use multiple things to chop up your peaches into finely diced pieces. Below is a list of options that may work well for you. If your blender has a food chop option, you could use that, but you don't want the peaches blended.HOW TO MAKE FREEZER JAM IN 4 EASY STEPS
Here's the quick and easy instructions. For more details, keep reading.- Chop 4 cups of peaches
- Stir in 1/2 cup of water
- Add the contents of the Jam in a Jiffy pouch and stir until combined and shiny. Let sit one minute and stir again.
- Pour into jars and refrigerate or freeze immediately.
It made pretty short work of it. I'd chop up a couple peaches at a time until they were the desired size and then added them to my measuring bowl. You need 4 cups of crushed/chopped up fruit.
Next add 1/2 cup of water to the peaches and give it a stir.
Lastly, add the Jam in a Jiffy pouch. Stir until well combined (about a minute). It should be shiny at this point. Let it sit for 1 minute and give it another stir.
At this point you can taste and add more sugar if desired.
If the jam thickens up more than you'd like, you can add a bit more water to thin.
Pour into clean jars or other containers. Refrigerate and/or freeze immediately.
The jam will last about 3 weeks in the fridge or up to a year in the freezer.
