Bows on scrunchies seem to be the latest thing around here. My girls actually got this idea from a friend and it's such an easy way to add a bow. It adds a cuteness factor with very little work.
Super Easy Bows for Scrunchies
Scrunchies with bows have been around for a while. So it was time that we figured out a way to make them. We've made some sewed bows and they turned out so cute.But these bows are so much easier!! They are perfect for teens and tweens who want to add a bow, but don't want to add more sewing time to their scrunchie.

Supplies needed for scrunchie bows
- A scrunchie (Use this scrunchie tutorial)
- 2 1/2 inch X 11 1/2 inch piece of matching fabric
- Pinking shears
How to Make an Easy Bow for a Scrunchie
First sew a scrunchie using this tutorial. OR make a no-sew scrunchie.{There's a quick video for the bows at the end, so keep scrolling to watch!}
Now cut a piece of fabric 2 1/2 inches by 11 1/2 inches.
With your pinking shears, trim the two long edges of the fabric. Then make some points at each end. I like to start about 1 1/2 to 2 inches from the end, and trim to the middle of the short end of fabric. (Watch the video! I really am having a hard time explaining this part :)
All that's left is to tie the bow onto the scrunchie. I like to tie it right over the seam of the scrunchie.
That's all there is to it! It's so easy, right? You can totally do this!
