This month our theme for Inspire My Creativity is something to wear. I'm excited to see what everyone else came up with. I'm excited to share an old project with you. I created this necklace/earring set FOREVER ago. Now is the perfect time to finally share it.
Teardrop Necklace and Earrings
Sometimes a girl just needs a fancy accessory. This necklace is not a piece I wear often. But when it's time to dress up for a nice dinner or event, it's nice to have a piece of jewelry that fits the occasion.
This necklace really brings on the sparkle. I've always been drawn to a bit of sparkle. I've made my girls crystal and pearl headbands, and some bejeweled hair clips. I also made some wire circle earrings adorned with these same pear crystals and some pink bi-cones.
Supplies Needed for Teardrop Earring and Necklace Set:
earwires chainlobster claw clasp
jump rings
silver teardrops
10mm pear pendant crystals
How to Make Teardrop Necklace and Earrings
Teardrop Earrings
1 - Add a jump ring to the pear pendant.2 - Attach pendant to inside of teardrop with another jump ring.
3 - Attach a jump ring to the top of the pendant.
4 - Attach earwire with another jump ring.
5 - Repeat for other earring.
Teardrop Necklace
1 - Cut chain to 19 inches. Add a lobster clasp to one side with a jump ring. Attach a jump ring to the other end of the chain.
2 - Add a jump ring to the pear pendant. Attach pendant to inside of the teardrop with another jump ring. Make a total of 7.
3 - Attach the teardrops to the chain with jump rings, starting in the center and spacing the rest 1 inch apart on both sides.
4 - Cut a piece of chain 6 1/2 inches long. In every third link attach a pear pendant to the chain with jump rings.
5 - Attach each end of the smaller chain to the larger chain. Attach with a jump ring 1 3/4 inch from the last teardrop on each side.

- Attach ear wire with another jump ring.
- Repeat for other earring.
