I added sparkly red bows and poinsettias, red ribbon and bulbs and all my nativity ornaments. I love the contrast of the vibrant red with the rustic nature of many of the nativity ornaments.

It's Day 10 and we are sharing our Christmas Trees!
Nativity Themed Christmas Tree
The star tree topper I made this year with some sticks. I don't have a tutorial, but I suggest starting with 5 sticks that are the same length and diameter. {I cut mine from branches from the yard.} Wrap twine around the ends and secure with hot glue. Wrap at the intersecting points as well.
I found the bows and ribbon at Joann last year. I've seen the bows again this year, but I've been meaning to look for the ribbon - I feel like it needs more ribbon.
The red bulbs come in 8 packs at Walmart - there are 4 shiny and 4 matte bulbs. I got three packs. I also got the sparkly poinsettia flowers there.
The silver round ornaments with the names of Christ on them are from Deseret Book.
The clear glass bulbs with the silhouette of the nativity were a gift that we gave the young women in our church several years ago. There were a bunch of extras that I snagged.
The rest of the ornaments I made. Below are links to all my nativity themed ornaments. Some of them didn't make the cut for the tree this year, but I'll include them as well.
I also made a new ruffled tree skirt. I love the shimmer and the ruffle! It's so pretty!

Your nativity tree is lovely and I especially love that most of the ornaments are handmade. It's hard to pick a favorite because they are all wonderful but the clothespin nativity ones are definitely happening for my sister's tree next year 😉
ReplyDeleteYour tree with all the handmade ornaments is gorgeous. I remember seeing the angel ornaments and the sheep ornaments before and I absolutely love them. Pinning they are wonderful.
