Crab Stuffed Mushrooms Appetizer
Warm, melty, cheesy, crab filling atop a tender mushroom cap. These stuffed mushrooms are THE perfect appetizer! These are best eaten soon after baking. However, I was happy to have leftovers and they were quite tasty warmed up a day or two later.
This recipe made quite a few for our individual family, but if serving at a party or gathering, I would suggest doubling the recipe.
Next up we're sharing DIY Ornaments!
Crab Stuffed Mushrooms Appetizer
Servings: 30
Prep time: 15 MinCook time: 15 MinTotal time: 30 Min
The tastiest stuffed mushrooms you'll ever have. Filled with crab meat, three kinds of cheeses and the perfect blend of seasonings, these mushrooms will have you coming back for seconds.... and thirds.
Ingredients
- 30 mushrooms (about 2 pounds)
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 T. mayonnaise
- 1/3 c. Swiss cheese, grated
- 2 T. Parmesan cheese, grated (not the powder kind)
- 1/2 t. hot sauce (I like tabasco)
- 1/2 t. Old Bay seasoning
- salt and pepper
- 1 can (4.25 oz) crab meat
Instructions
- Wash and remove steps from mushrooms. When removing stem, remove as deep into the cap as you can to create a bowl for the filling.
- Mix the cream cheese until soft and creamy.
- Add remaining ingredients (except the mushrooms).Mix well.
- Spoon mixture into each mushroom cap.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes until warm and cheese is melty.
