4th of July Banner
How to Make a 4th of July Banner
I started off by raiding my craft room to see what supplies I could use. I found these fun letters. They are printed on a clear thick plastic. I think I got them at a scrapbook clearance event. Since they are not readily available another alternative would be to paint the letters onto the fabric using a stencil.
I grabbed a wooden number 4 from the craft store and painted it blue.
To make the banner I cut out pillow ticking fabric to 3 1/2" X 12" dimensions. Then fold in half and cut a triangle out of the bottom.
Sew edges all the way around the pennant, leaving a small opening close to the fold. This will be used to insert the twine.
I then attached the letters with scapbooking eyelets {or you could paint them on at this point}.
To put it all together, I grabbed a scrap of beadboard and arranged everything how I wanted it.
I used hot glue to attach the 4. I used tape to adhere the twine to the back of the beadboard.
There you have it a fun and festive 4th of July banner.
