If you've been following along, you'll know that I've been updating my laundry room. It's time to share all the before and after pictures. The room got a fresh coat of paint and some new shelves to provide lots more sorting options. Of course, I added pretty things too. The overall effect has changed my perspective on laundry. Having the room done to fit my likes and tastes has made doing laundry less of a chore. I sometimes now even fold the clothes right out of the dryer. I know, amazing, right?
Some of the changes included a new easy shelf above the washer. I made a cute clothesline craft to put on the shelf. A wire basket hangs on the wall ready to collect lonely socks.
This is the corner of the room that has had the most dramatic change. Before I had a laundry cart in the corner, which I have now shortened to fit the space. Now I have two shelves above it providing more space for laundry baskets. Be sure to read my tutorial on building shelves.
I moved the ironing board and replaced it with cross stitched pictures. The ironing board got a new cover and now hangs on the door.
I also built a drying rack that folds flat against the wall when not in use. A new rug on the floor was the final touch. I feel my laundry room is complete.
Darling Rachel!!! Love it!
