Can you believe this? The weather in Utah is always a bit unpredictable. We've had an exceptionally warm and early spring and a week ago we got a couple days of snow. We're really hoping we still get some fruit.
A few days later it's back to spring and my goal for this week was to get the front yard weeded. This spot had the most weeds, so I started there and worked my way around the rest of the front yard.
Here's the after:
Eventually I'll figure out what I want planted here, but for now I just try to keep it free of weeds.
The rest of the front yard had just a few weeds here and there so it went pretty quick. I also raked up all the pine needles, which is always a chore in the spring when you have three pine trees.
You can read my tips on weeding that I put together a few years ago.
Our cool weather plants have sprouted. We planted peas, carrots, lettuce, broccoli and cauliflower.
Looks like all the peas came up well. Here's to hoping the dog doesn't trample them as soon as they're ready to harvest like he did last year!
What have you been working on in your yard?
