But I'm gonna bite the bullet and share my house with you over the next few weeks. Today I'm going to start off with the entry way. I've actually shared part of it before, but that was in the first months of the blog. I haven't made too many changes since then.
So here we go...
I'll take you around clockwise. On the wall I have a turkey tail wreath. I made this years ago and you can see if you look close that it could use a good dusting. I always get compliments on it. I can't take credit for the idea though - we saw it in a magazine.
I love this shelf and matching table that we got when we first moved in 12 years ago. On the shelf I've added rustic outdoor elements among the pictures: pine cones and petrified wood.
I love all of the pictures. They do need to be updated though.
Here it is looking towards the front door.
And here's my newest editions to the room:
Tomorrow I'll tell you a little more about the key frames.
And hopefully sometime in the next month I'll be sharing how I made over this piece of furniture. You'll have to make sure you see the before - it looks totally different now.
Inside we keep the kids scripture bags and dance bags.
Coming around we have our closet - and you don't want to see inside - it's a disaster. Above we have lots of sheds my husband and I have found.
Then there's the safe and our little coat rack that I recently repainted.
There you have it. And I successfully managed to take pictures of the whole room without actually picking up the dozen or so shoes that were out :)
That's adorable...I think that's a clever idea for the antlers. Oh by the way if you have kids all of us Mommies know that it is impossible to keep you house picked up at all times.
ReplyDeleteRachel, Thank you for opening up your how to us! I love getting to see other people's homes too! This will be fun to tour. :) I love your entry table and matching shelf. We have a narrow entry and the tables I find always look too big. Love the antlers! :)

You've done a wonderful job. There is so much to like about your entry but that turkey feather wreath really caught my eye. I love it.
