Last summer I found all these old unique frames at a yard sale. I think they were fifty cents each. I brought them home and promptly gave them a coat of spray paint. I was so proud of myself for getting my project going so quickly. Then they sat and sat and sat. Then in March my sisters came to visit. I had them help me arrange and hang them in my craft room. Then last month I finally took some pictures of them. And now I'm finally sharing them with you. Way too many of my projects are like that. They get started, then I stall, and it's months before I finish them.
You may notice that there were six frames, but I only hung up five of
them. I'm going to make a pin cushion to sit at my sewing table with the
last one. Hopefully I'll get going on that soon.
For now they are empty. I'm not sure if I want to fill them or not. I kind of like the look. They sit right above my sewing machine. I thought framing objects, for example a small pair of thread scissors, a thimble, a spool of thread, things like that. I'm not sure.
What would you do?

ReplyDeleteI did something similar using gold paint and it looked great! yours are pretty too because of how ornate the frames are.:-)
ReplyDeleteI love the way you did it :) Did you use some special glue to stick them to the wall, like tile adhesive, or normal nails with a hammer? Because it looks so fragile :)
