We've lived in our house for 10 years and all that time I'd never done a thing with the main bath. I mean NOTHING. We'd been using dollar store shower curtains and the rug was 13 years old. Well I finally decided to spruce it up a bit over the summer.
My mother-in-law got some picture frames for her daughter and she didn't want them. They weren't really my style, but a little paint can do amazing things.
I added some fabric and ribbon and made these cute bow boards.
I even painted a little shelf for the opposite wall.
Remember the glitter jars? Well here's one of them. I spray painted the inside of the mason jars.
Here's an look from the door.
Other than the shower curtain and rug {I still can't believe how much that stuff costs - and I got it on sale} I didn't spend any money. I just updated stuff that I had. I still need to figure out something for all our headbands.
Most of the bows are hand made by either myself or my sister.
Here are a few of the links to the bows I made.
-The circle flowers and petal flowers I learned how to do using a tutorial over at Keeping It Simple.
-The pinwheel ribbon bows I found at Girly Things They have tons of free bow tutorials.
-I made a pink crocheted flower - I found the pattern at Heidi Bears
I also just clipped some existing bows off of some baby headbands and hot glued them onto clips.
Cute colors! I have a ribbons-in-a-frame-thing for our clips too, and it's so handy!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I was making a bow board, but it broke, lol. Maybe I should dig it out of the garage and try again. Thank you for the inspiration. :)
